.NATURE & SOUND
Manrico Montero is a Sound Artist specialized in Nature Recording, Soundscape Composition, Phonography and Bioacoustics, focusing on Sound Ornithology, and more specifically studying the Waterbirds (Aquatic Birds) and their ecosystems, working mostly on Wetlands.

Manrico Montero has made important sound registers of Wetlands of all Latinamerica, from the Maya land in Yucatán, México, to the High-Andean environments and Saltflats of Southamerica.
Manrico writes theory about Phenomenology of Soundscape and Philosophy of Nature, and he makes Sound Installations and Site Specific Projects too.

Manrico Montero composes and produces digi-acoustic and electroacoustic pieces too, and he has released his works internationally in labels like SEM, Trente Oiseaux, Iod, and/Oar, Eko, Rain Music, Mahorka, Mk2 Music, and his own label Mandorla.

Manrico has performed and exhibited his work internationally in New York, Paris, Quebec, Berlin, Vienna, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boulder, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay, and around all the Mexican Republic.

He cultivates the art of the Free Improvisation as solo performer or with ensembles.
